WIlliam shakespeare (1564-1616)

Shakespeare is one of the most famous playwrights ever. His exact day of birth is unknown, but historians think that he came to life 23rd of April 1564 in Stratford - upon - Avon (about 160 km from London). He was baptised 3 days later in a nearlying church. 

Shakespeare spent his childhood together with his parents and 7 siblings. His father was a glover and his mother came from a wealthy family.

Shakespeare's interest for theatre came early when he saw plays presented by travelling actors close to his home. This memory perhaps stood behind his choice of theatre. Shakespeare went to school only for a few years, where he studied latin and literature.

When Shakespeare reached 18 years he married Anne Hathaway and together they got 3 children.
